Reassignment/Layoff Procedure. The reassignment/layoff process shall be accomplished by a reduction of the least senior nurse(s) on the affected unit/shift followed by choosing intra-unit bumping or Clinical Group bumping if applicable on the basis of seniority, most to least senior as provided below. The reassignment/layoff procedure will be used in situations when nurses will experience a mandatory reassignment/layoff. The reassignment/layoff procedure is as follows:
