Reassignment to a Lower Classification. Employees may be subject to a decrease in rate if they are reassigned to a position in a lower compensation grade. An employee may request in writing to the Director of Public Safety to be relieved of his/her promoted classification and be returned to their former classification. The decision of the Director is not subject to Section 6
