RECESS DUTY REGULATIONS. 1. Elementary employees shall not be required to supervise the playground during recess periods. Inclement weather duty within the building may be assigned to employees on a rotation basis with no more than 50% of the employees required to be on duty during a particular day. Recesses shall be included in instruction time as part of the elementary school day for state reporting purposes and shall be a total of 30 minutes.
