RECOGNITION & DEFINITIONS. 1.01 The Board hereby recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all full-time and part-time Teachers, Media Specialist, Guidance Counselors employed by the Board. Such representation shall exclude the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Principals and any other person engaged at least 50 percent of the time in the direct administration and supervision of professional personnel. Clarifications of and amendments to the bargaining unit represented by the Association shall be by mutual consent of the Board and the Association or, in the case of a dispute, by determination of the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC). 1.02 For the duration of this Agreement, the Board agrees not to negotiate with or recognize any Teachers’ organization other than the Association for the purpose of collective bargaining to determine salaries, hours, terms and conditions of employment. 1.03 The following terms within the Agreement shall be defined as follows: 1. 031 “Teacher(s)” shall refer to all full-time and part-time professional employees of the Board represented by the Association as listed in Section 1.01 above.
