Common use of Registered Apprentices Clause in Contracts

Registered Apprentices. 26.1 The indenture, training and wage scale of appren- tices in the certified trade of Sheet Metal Worker is regu- lated by current Apprenticeship’s Legislation and shall apply. No apprentice shall execute any work outside the shop during the first four periods of apprenticeship unless working with a journeyman. 26.2 Notwithstanding the requirements of 26.1 a new entry apprentice shall be considered as being on probation for a period of three (3) months following hiring and such apprentice shall not be eligible for night school training until he has completed six (6) months employment. 26.3 Apprentices will be hired in the ratio stipulated by the Trades Qualification Apprenticeship Act (or any other act that will govern the ratio of journeyman to apprentices for sheet metal) and the rate of wages shall be: 26.4 Upon the layoff of an apprentice or if an apprentice quits his/her employment, the Employer will give the ap-
