Common use of Rehearsing Away from the Resident Theatre Clause in Contracts

Rehearsing Away from the Resident Theatre. When an Actor or Stage Manager is required to rehearse away from the city or greater metropolitan area in which the contracting Theatre is located, for such rehearsal period only, the Actor shall (i) be provided housing, in accordance with Rule 30, and be paid per diem, in accordance with Rule 55(L)(3); and (ii) be paid weekly salary as follows: if the Actor’s or Stage Manager’s weekly contractual salary is less than the next highest category minimum, the Actor’s weekly salary shall be raised to that next highest weekly minimum salary. This provision shall not apply to any Actor or Stage Manager who has a residence in the city or greater metropolitan area in which such rehearsals are held.
