Reimbursement for Expenses in Criminal Cases. If an employee faces criminal charges arising out of the course and scope of his employment and the employee is acquitted of those charges, the employer shall reimburse the employee for all reasonable expenses connected with the defense of the employee's lawsuit. This Section shall not apply if the employee is terminated for such conduct and the termination is ultimately upheld through the grievance arbitration process.
