Common use of Reimbursement for use of Personal Cell Phone Clause in Contracts

Reimbursement for use of Personal Cell Phone. ‌ 1. Employees who have been authorized by their Department to use their personal cell phone for County business shall be reimbursed twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per month. The Department may at its sole discretion authorize employees to use their personal cell phone for County business and may withdraw the authorization. The reimbursement of employees for the use of their cell phone pursuant to this subsection does not provide the County access to the employee’s personal cell phone records. The County retains any legal right it has to access County business records maintained on employees’ personal cell phones. Employees are responsible for all costs related to securing and maintaining their personal cell phones and are wholly responsible for any damage to or loss of their personal cell phones. 2. Employees who do not wish to use their personal phone for work-related business will have the option of using a County phone. The number of monthly minutes will be limited and employees will use these phones for County business only. 3. Employees are not expected to give their personal cell phone numbers to clients or other service providers. Supervisors will maintain a roster of employee cell phone numbers. Management will not give out employee cell phone numbers.
