Reinstatement List and Recall Rights. 1. Full-time permanent employees of the City who are laid off from the competitive service in good standing shall have their names placed on a recall list for a period not to exceed two (2) years from date of layoff, and shall be eligible for recall for any vacancies within the same position classification held by the employee, provided that the employee meets the minimum qualifications and is able to perform the duties of the job. Laid off employees applying for vacancies in other position classifications shall be given preference provided they meet the minimum qualifications for the position and are able to perform the duties of the job.
