Common use of Relieved of Promotion or Transfer Clause in Contracts

Relieved of Promotion or Transfer. An employee who requests to be relieved of a transfer or promotion within the first ninety (90) days in the new job shall be returned to his/her former job or a mutually acceptable alternative position without loss of seniority and benefits. For the first three (3) calendar months in a new position a promoted employee shall be on probation in that position and if unsatisfactory shall be returned to his/her previous classification and salary structure without loss of seniority and benefits.
