Remembrance Day. The Employer agrees to allow Employees 2 minutes of silence at 11:00 a.m. on Remembrance Day each year.

Remembrance Day. The following employees will be eligible for time off and/or payments as described in 9.4. 1. Those employees who are serving or have served in the Canadian Forces including those who are currently active in the reserve component, or who were deployed as part of the Canadian Forces.

Remembrance Day. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation shall be observed on the day it falls and will not be moved for observance when the Holiday falls outside of an employee’s regular work week. Should the Federal or Provincial government proclaim another Statutory Holiday, Parties to the agreement will meet to determine the new holiday’s application for observance.

Remembrance Day. This section was originally created to allow employees paid time off on Remembrance Day for those who served in the armed forces of Canada, Great Britain or their allies during World War II, the armed forces of the United Nations in Korea from 1950 to 1953, and the Allied Merchant Marine from 1939 to 1945. This no longer applies to any active employees. The parties agreed during 2000 negotiations that, in honour of those current and past retirees and their families, the paragraph above will be maintained in the Collective Agreement in recognition of their contributions and sacrifices.
Remembrance Day. If another Federal, Provincial or Municipal holiday should be proclaimed during the term of this Agreement, such additional proclaimed holiday will replace one of the above named holidays as agreed by the parties. The intent is that there will be no more than twelve (12) paid holidays per calendar year for the duration of this agreement.
Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day shall be recognized as a statutory holiday for all employees who served in the Canadian Armed Forces during armed conflict or on peacekeeping missions.
