Removal of unjustified and nonconforming markings. (1) Unjustified technical data mark- ings. The rights and obligations of the par- ties regarding the validation of restrictive markings on technical data furnished or to be furnished under this contract are con- tained in the Validation of Restrictive Mark- ings on Technical Data clause of this con- tract. Notwithstanding any provision of this contract concerning inspection and accept- ance, the Government may ignore or, at the Contractor’s expense, correct or strike a marking if, in accordance with the proce- dures in the Validation of Restrictive Mark- ings on Technical Data clause of this con- tract, a restrictive marking is determined to be unjustified.
