Report of Violations of Law, Statutes or Regulations. No action will be taken by the City against an employee who reports a violation of a law, statute or regulation by the City as long as the City has been notified of the alleged violation and provided a reasonable opportunity to investigate and respond to the matter before the Union and/or the employee pursues the matter further. The City and the Union agree to advise one another promptly of any alleged violation or action to be taken .
