Request for Consideration of Reclassification Steps. ‌ 1. Requests for Reclassification shall be forwarded to the County Manager’s office with a copy to the Department Head. 2. The County Manager shall review the request and consider the budgetary implications of the requested change and discuss the merits of the requested action with the employee’s Department Head. Should the Administrator and the Department Head be convinced that the request merits further review, the Administrator will arrange for an appropriate audit of that and any other affected positions. The employee must be notified of any action to be taken by the employer, including the job audit, within a reasonable period of time, not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) days of the employee’s request. If the audit recommends a change in classification and such recommendation is approved by the Commission, such reclass shall be effective no later than the beginning of the following budget year. 3. Should the request be denied at any stage, the employee shall be eligible to submit another reclassification request after two years from date of submission. No other recourse shall be available to the employee or the Association.
