Requesting for and Duration of Maternity Leave. Any teacher who is pregnant is entitled to a leave of absence any time between the commencement of her pregnancy and one year following the birth of the child, if, except in a medical emergency, she notifies the Superintendent at least 30 days before the date on which she desires to start her leave.
