Common use of Requests for Additional Compensation or Time Clause in Contracts

Requests for Additional Compensation or Time. If Contractor reasonably believes adjustments to the Contract Documents that would lead to a Change Order are required due to clarifications or instructions issued by Owner Parties in response to the Contractor’s notices or requests for information, Contractor shall submit a written request to Owner Parties, setting forth the nature and specific extent of the request, including all time and cost impacts, as soon as possible, but in no event later than twenty-one (21) Days after Contractor’s receipt of the clarifications or instructions issued. If Owner Parties deny Contractor’s request for additional compensation, and Contractor reasonably believes such denial was in error, the Contractor may file a Claim in accordance with Article 12 of these General Conditions.
