RESIDENT IMPAIRMENT. Any Resident who believes he/she may be impaired by physical or mental illness, substance abuse or any other impairment should, as a matter of professionalism, seek the assistance of the Resident Well-Being Committee. A Resident who is determined to be impaired during the GME program will be subject to the Graduate Medical Education Policy GMEC-23 “Physician Impairment and Substance Abuse”, which is included on the home page of New Innovations.
