RESPONSE BY THE TRUST Sample Clauses

RESPONSE BY THE TRUST. Within four weeks of receiving the Panel's report, the Chief Executive must write to the complainant informing them of any action the Trust is taking as a result of the Panel's deliberations. This letter should also include a formal apology (where appropriate), and timescales for changes to be implemented or policy review. The Chief Executive should also write to the Lay Chair, acknowledging receipt of the report and enclosing a copy of the Trust's action plan based on the Panel's recommendations. The complainant should be informed that the Complaints Procedure has come to an end and also informed of their right to complain to the Health Service Ombudsman if they remain dissatisfied. This will be the final stage of the Complaints Procedure where the complaint relates to Health Service provision or employees. The total Independent Review process, from the date the complainant made the request to the Convenor, to the date the Chief Executive writes to the complainant outlining the Trust's action plan, should be no longer than six months. The Trust's Clinical Governance Committee will ensure that the measures outlined in the Trust's action plan are implemented. INDEPENDENT REVIEW – ACTION FLOW CHART
