Common use of Restricted Meal Period Activities Clause in Contracts

Restricted Meal Period Activities. (a) Employees who are not permitted to leave their work unit during the meal period shall be paid at time and one-half for the duration of the meal period. (b) Notwithstanding Articles 14.01 and 15.01, when an employee is the sole employee available for work at the worksite during his/her meal period then the employee shall receive thirty (30) minutes pay at the regular rate.
