CONCERTED ACTIVITIES. 19.1 It is agreed and understood that there will be no strike, work stoppage, slow-down, or refusal or failure to fully and faithfully perform job functions and responsibilities, or other interference with the operations of the District by the Association or by its officers, agents, or members during the term of this Agreement, including compliance with the request of other labor organizations to engage in such activity. 19.2 The District shall not lock-out unit members during the term of this Agreement. 20.1 Salary

CONCERTED ACTIVITIES. The Association agrees that it will in good faith cooperate with the Employer in attempting to assure that reasonable work standards, schedules, and the rules and regulations of the Employer are complied with and that it will not directly or indirectly encourage, permit or cause any concerted work stoppage, slowdown, strike or other interference with the day-to-day operations of the Employer during the term of this Agreement.
CONCERTED ACTIVITIES. The parties to this Agreement recognize and acknowledge that the services performed by the County employees covered by this Agreement are essential to the public health, safety, and general welfare of the residents of the County of Monterey. Union agrees that under no circumstances will the Union recommend, encourage, cause or permit its members to initiate, participate, nor will any member of the bargaining unit take part in, any strike, sit-down, stay-in, sick-out, slow-down, or picketing (hereinafter collectively referred to as work-stoppage), in any office or department of the County, nor to curtail any work or restrict any production, or interfere with any operation of the County. In the event of any such work stoppage by any member of the bargaining unit, the County shall not be required to negotiate on the merits of any dispute which may have given rise to such work-stoppage until said work-stoppage has ceased. In the event of any work-stoppage, during the term of this Agreement, whether by the Union or by any member of the bargaining unit, the Union by its officers, shall immediately declare in writing and publicize that such work-stoppage is illegal and unauthorized and further direct its members in writing to cease the said conduct and resume work. Copies of such written notice shall be served upon the County. In the event of any work-stoppage the Union promptly and in good faith performs the obligations of this paragraph, and providing the Union had not otherwise authorized such work- stoppage, the Union shall not be liable for any damages caused by the violation of this provision. The County shall have the right to discipline, to include discharge, any employee who instigates, participates in, or gives leadership to, any work-stoppage activity herein prohibited, and the County shall also have the right to seek full legal redress, including damages, as against any such employee.
CONCERTED ACTIVITIES. 16.1 Apart from, and in addition to existing legal restrictions upon work stoppages, the Association hereby agrees that neither it nor its members, or agents, or representatives, or the employees, or persons acting in concert with any of them, shall incite, encourage, or participate in any strike, walkout, slowdown, sympathy strike, or other work stoppage of any nature whatsoever during the life of this Agreement, for disputes concerning matters not mentioned in this Agreement, for disputes contending that the District has committed unfair employment practices, under EERA, disputes with other labor organizations, persons or employers, or jurisdictional disputes. In the event of any strike, walkout, slowdown, sympathy strike or work stoppage or threat thereof, the Association and its officers will do everything reasonable within their power to end or avert the same. The District will not lock out the employees covered by this Agreement during the life of this Agreement. 16.2 Upon the Association's violation of Section 1, and in addition to the District's rights to judicial relief in the form of injunctions and damages, the District may terminate this Agreement upon written notice to the Association to such effect, following which the District shall have the right unilaterally to effectuate, without prior notification or discussion with the Association, such change in wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment of employees covered hereby as are, in the sole judgment of the District, necessary and proper in order to restore and maintain efficient operation of the school system. 16.3 Any employee authorizing, engaging in encouraging, sanctioning, recognizing or assisting any strike, slowdown, picketing, sympathy strike, work stoppage, or other concerted interference in violation of this Article, or refusing to perform duly assigned services in violation of this Article, shall be subject to discipline up to and including termination. The District reserves the right selectively to discipline employees hereunder. 16.4 In the event that the Association, its members, agents, representatives, employees or persons acting in concert with them have violated the provisions of this Article over a grievance or a dispute which would otherwise properly be subject to resolution by submission to the grievance provisions of this Agreement, the Association (and the employees) shall be deemed to have waived the right to process the grievance or dispute through the grie...
CONCERTED ACTIVITIES. 9.1 Employees shall not engage in strikes or any other concerted activity, including sympathy strikes, which would interfere with or adversely affect the operations or mission of the CSU. 9.2 The Union shall not promote, organize, or support any strike or other concerted activity, including sympathy strikes, which would interfere with or adversely affect the operations or mission of the CSU. 9.3 The Union shall play a responsible role in preventing any employee from participating in any concerted activity, including sympathy strikes, which would interfere with or adversely affect the operations or mission of the CSU and shall notify employees of such prohibitions. 9.4 The CSU agrees that it will not lock out any bargaining unit employee(s).

In the event of a strike, work stoppage, slow-down, or other interference with the operations of the District by employees who are represented by it, the Federation agrees in good faith to take all necessary steps to cause those employees to cease such action. 24.3 It is agreed and understood that any employee violating this Article may be subject to discipline up to and including termination by the District. 24.4 It is understood that in the event this Article is violated, the District shall be entitled to withdraw any rights, privileges or services provided for in this Agreement from any employee and/or the Federation, and to take any other emergency action as needed. 24.5 It is also agreed that there will be no lockout of employees during the term of this Agreement.

SLOCPPOA recognizes the duty and obligation of its representatives to comply with the provisions of this Agreement and to make every effort toward inducing all employees to do so. In the event of a strike, work stoppage, slowdown, or other interference with the operations of the County by employees who are represented by SLOCPPOA, SLOCPPOA agrees in good faith to take all necessary steps to cause those employees to cease such action. It is agreed and understood that any employee violating this Article may be subject to discipline up to and including termination by the County.
