Common use of Retention of Records Clause in Contracts

Retention of Records. (i) The Contractor must retain all financial and accounting records related to this Contract for a period of seven years after the Contractor performs any work under this contract (Audit Period). (ii) If an audit, litigation, or other action involving the Contractor's records is initiated before the end of the Audit Period, the Contractor must retain the records until all issues arising out of the audit, litigation, or other action are resolved or until the end of the Audit Period, whichever is later.
