Retirement Benefits for Teachers Whose First Day of teaching was after the 2003-2004 School Year. Teachers whose first day of teaching was after the 2003-2004 school year will receive retirement benefits only under this section. Severance Pay A permanent teacher who has (1) twenty (20) years experience in Xxxxx County School District 1, (2) who qualifies for the Rule of 85 under the Indiana State Teachers Retirement Fund (ISTRF), or who (3) qualifies for medical disability retirement shall receive pay for unused sick leave at the rate of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per day times accumulated sick leave up to a maximum of 60 days and shall receive Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00) per year of service in Xxxxx County School District 1.
