RETIREMENT TIER 3. a. Effective the pay period beginning June 27, 1993, the County shall establish a new retirement tier. This new retirement Tier 3 shall be the same as the existing Tier 2, except that Tier 3 shall have a 2% post-retirement cost-of-living adjustment factor pursuant to Government Code Section 31870, whereas Tier 2 has no post-retirement cost-of-living adjustment factor.
