RETIREE HEALTH CONTRIBUTION. Beginning the pay period that starts June 30, 2013, the County will not provide a subsidy toward the payment of insurance premiums for medical or dental insurance for retirees.

RETIREE HEALTH CONTRIBUTION. Employees hired on or after January 1, 2012 are not eligible for any Authority-paid retiree health contribution. In the event that the Library Board confers retiree health benefits to such employees in the future, such action shall be subject to change or elimination by the Board at any time, and shall not be considered to have created a vested right to any such benefit. Authorization of any such benefits shall be effective only if expressly approved by resolution of the SPL Board on a year-by-year basis. No resolution or other writing, and no practice of any type, shall be construed, singly or in combination, (a) to constitute an implied-in-fact contract, or (b) to deprive the Board of its ability to decide on an annual basis whether or not the benefit shall be continued or conferred to employees.

b. If during the term of this Agreement a subsidy toward the payment of premiums for medical or dental insurance is added for retirees of another County employee bargaining unit, then the same subsidy will be provided to retirees in the Operations and Maintenance Unit.

For all employees hired before January 1, 2009, who have attained a cumulative total completed years of service (excluding extra help service and provisional) with the County as specified below, shall be entitled to the percentage monthly contribution of the “employee only” rate (strictly health and not to include dental or vision) at retirement toward a County-Sponsored Health Plan as follows: Level 3 20 years plus 67% Level 2 15 – 19 years 50% Level 1 12 – 14 years 33% Part-time employees (excluding extra help and provisional) shall be treated in accordance with the Retiree Health Benefits Contribution Plan Document. County contributions for all bargaining units under this program shall not exceed 1.2% of total County payroll costs during any given fiscal year pursuant to the provisions of the Retiree Health Benefits Contribution Plan Document. The retiree health contribution rates will be calculated annually on a calendar year basis effective January 1 of each calendar year.
2. Pursuant to the Letter of Agreement dated September 1, 2015, County contributions toward retiree health were discontinued for bargaining unit members hired on or after January 1, 2009. However, members hired into an allocated position (excluding extra help and provisional) on or after January 1, 2009, may continue to participate in the County-sponsored retiree health plan options at their own cost provided they meet the criteria specified in the plan.
RETIREE HEALTH CONTRIBUTION. All employees covered by this MOU will contribute two percent (2%) of their regular rate of pay through payroll deduction to a fund maintained by the Santa Xxx Police Officers Association for the purpose of providing retiree health insurance premium reduction assistance. Effective October 1, 2018, and on October 1 of each year the City shall contribute an amount equal to two percent (2%) of each employee’s regular rate of pay (base pay plus additional forms of pay paid each pay period) of each active employee who is covered by this MOU as of October 1 of each year to a fund maintained by the Santa Xxx Police Officers Association for the purpose of providing retiree health insurance premium reduction assistance.

RETIREE HEALTH CONTRIBUTION. Ten (10) Years and Age Fifty-five (55). Employees who retire after ten (10) years of employment in a benefited status (Full-Time Regular [FTR] or Part-Time Regular [PTR]) and attainment of age fifty-five (55) will be eligible to enroll for individual coverage in the Hospital sponsored HMO Plan, at their own expense, until the employee reaches age sixty-give (65) or becomes Medicare eligible, whichever occurs first. The maximum charge to a retiree for this plan shall be the COBRA premium for individual coverage.
