Retraining, Involuntary Transfer and Layoff. (a) Employees whose positions are discontinued or reduced under the provisions of this Article shall be eligible for retraining to equip them for the operation of such new equipment or procedure, or minimal retraining to qualify for transfer to another position. Such retraining will be provided by the University without cost and without loss of pay or loss of seniority to the affected employee(s).
