Return from Sabbatical. a. Two (2) months prior to the completion of sabbatical leave, recipients of such leave shall file, with the Human Resources Department, a statement of intent to return to the District. The return to the District from sabbatical leave shall always coincide with the beginning of the semester. The position previously occupied by a member on sabbatical leave shall be considered a temporary position, if needed, for the duration of the leave, and at the completion of the sabbatical leave, the recipient shall be reinstated in the department or grade level in the school to which he/she was assigned at the time sabbatical leave was granted provided such position exists.
