Common use of Right of Arbitrator Clause in Contracts

Right of Arbitrator. An Arbitrator or Arbitration Board hearing a complaint or grievance under this Article shall have the authority to: a) dismiss the grievance or complaint; b) determine the appropriate discipline up to and including dismissal; c) decide that the alleged harasser be transferred, demoted or decide to impose other terms or conditions necessary to provide final and conclusive settlement of the grievance; d) in no event shall the Arbitrator or Arbitration Board have the authority to alter, modify or amend the Collective Agreement in any respect.
