Common use of Right to Join and Support Association Clause in Contracts

Right to Join and Support Association. Employees shall have the right to freely organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining, through representatives of their own choosing. Employees shall also have the right to refrain from any and all such activities, except to the extent required elsewhere in this Agreement. The District shall not discriminate against any employee in regard to hiring, tenure of employment, or any term or condition of employment as a result of: (a) Membership in the Association; (b) Participation in any activities of the Association or collective bargaining; or (c) Institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement, so long as such matters are in accordance with this Agreement and the law.
