Common use of Right to Select Carrier Clause in Contracts

Right to Select Carrier. The benefits provided for in subsections a, b, d and e of Section 2 of this Article shall be provided through a self-insured plan or under group insurance policy or policies issued by an insurance company or insurance companies selected by the City. In the event the City changes insurance carrier(s), the City agrees the present level of coverage and benefits shall remain in effect. The City agrees to meet with the Union to discuss such changes in provider(s) prior to making such changes.
