RIGHT TO STOP THE WORK. If the Contractor fails to correct Work, which is not in accordance with the Contract Documents, the Owner may direct the Contractor in writing to stop the Work until the correction is made.

RIGHT TO STOP THE WORK. A. The City may order Contractor to stop the Work, or a portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated. Any such order to stop the Work shall be in writing and shall be signed by the City Representative. B. Reasons for ordering Contractor to stop the Work, or a portion thereof include but are not limited to the following: 1. Contractor fails to correct Work which is not in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents; or 2. Contractor fails to carry out Work in accordance with the Contract Documents; or 3. Contractor disregards the authority of the authorized City Representative; or 4. Contractor disregards the laws and regulations of a public body having jurisdiction over the Work; or 5. Contractor violates in any substantial way any provisions of the Contract Documents; or 6. Contractor fails to maintain current certificates of bonds and insurance on file with the City. C. However, the right of the City to stop the Work shall not give rise to a duty on the part of the City to exercise this right for the benefit of Contractor or other person or entity.

RIGHT TO STOP THE WORK. If the Contractor persistently fails or refuses to perform the Work in accordance with this Contract, the Authority may order the Contractor to stop work immediately, or any described portion thereof, until the Authority orders that the work be resumed.

RIGHT TO STOP THE WORK. 3.3.1 If the Design/Builder fails to correct defective Work or fails to carry out the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents, the Owner may order the Design/Builder to stop the Work, or any portion thereof until the cause for such order has been eliminated or, at Owner's sole option, terminate Design/Builder's performance of the Agreement. Any additional costs incurred by Owner shall be deducted from payments due Design/Builder by deductive Change Order and Design/Builder hereby waives any claims to such payments. The right of Owner to stop the Work shall not give rise to a duty on the part of Developer to exercise this right for the benefit of the Design/Builder or any other person(s) or entity(ies).

  • Owner’s Right to Stop Work The Owner reserves the right, for itself and for any designated Construction Inspector retained by Owner, upon observation of apparent nonconforming Work, to immediately stop the affected Work. If the Work is later determined by the Design Professional to be in fact conforming Work, then Contractor shall be entitled upon timely claim to a Change Order for payment by Owner of any reasonable Actual Costs actually incurred by Contractor in connection with the stop Work order and resumption of the Work, as well as an extension in the time for performance of the Work to the extent Contractor is delayed by Owner's stop Work order. The Design Professional shall determine the time, which shall be binding upon both Owner and Contractor, as set forth in Section 3, Part 3.

  • OWNER’S RIGHT TO CARRY OUT THE WORK If the Contractor defaults or neglects to carry out the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and fails within a ten (10)-calendar day period after receipt of written notice from the Owner to commence and continue correction of such default or neglect with diligence and promptness, the Owner may, without prejudice to other remedies the Owner may have, correct such deficiencies. In such case an appropriate Change Order shall be issued deducting from payments then or thereafter due the Contractor the reasonable cost of correcting such deficiencies, including Owner’s expenses and compensation for the Architect’s additional services made necessary by such default, neglect or failure. Such action by the Owner and amounts charged to the Contractor are both subject to prior approval of the Architect. If payments then or thereafter due the Contractor are not sufficient to cover such amounts, the Contractor shall pay the difference to the Owner.

Transfers and withdrawals made through any ATM or POS terminal, debit card transactions, audio response transactions, preauthorized EFTs, online/PC transactions, mobile access device transactions or xxxx payments you make will be recorded on your periodic statement. You will receive a statement monthly unless there is no transaction in a particular month. In any case, you will receive a statement at least quarterly.

  • Right to Refuse Dangerous Work An employee shall have the right to refuse to work in dangerous situations.

  • Right to Work For purposes of federal immigration law, you will be required to provide to the Company documentary evidence of your identity and eligibility for employment in the United States. Such documentation must be provided to us within three (3) business days of your Start Date, or our employment relationship with you may be terminated.

  • Right to Proceed The Sponsor acknowledges the rights of Holders to institute a Direct Action as set forth in Section 2.8(d) hereto.

  • Right to Company Materials The Executive agrees that all styles, designs, lists, materials, books, files, reports, correspondence, records, and other documents (“Company Materials”) used, prepared, or made available to the Executive shall be and shall remain the property of the Company. Upon the termination of employment or the expiration of this Agreement, the Executive shall immediately return to the Company all Company Materials, and the Executive shall not make or retain any copies thereof.
