Common use of Room/Apartment Assignment Clause in Contracts

Room/Apartment Assignment. Department assignments are made based on availability without regard to race, creed, color, or national origin. Assignment priority is based on the date of receipt of the Department application and the Contract along with the required application fee for the following classifications: new first-year undergraduate students who matriculate to Georgia Institute of Technology Summer 2023, Fall, 2023 or Spring 2024 (hereinafter referred to as “First-Year Students”), new transfer students and new graduate students. Students follow the Roommate and Room Selection Process found on the Housing and Residence Life website. Execution of this Contract does not guarantee that the Student will be assigned a space. A qualified Student for whom space is not available will be placed on a waiting list. The Student is responsible for monitoring their waitlist status and removing themselves should they enter into another housing agreement off- campus. Otherwise, students will be assigned a space if/when it becomes available. Upon assignment, this Contract and all cancellation fees associated with are upheld.
