Routine Medical Care for Dependent Children/Dependent Adult. An employee shall be entitled to paid sick leave accrued pursuant to Subsection C. hereof in order to accompany the employee’s dependent children living in the household of the employee and a dependent adult during routine medical or dental appointments, but not to exceed an aggregate of 24 hours within any calendar year. For the purpose of this Subsection, a dependent adult is defined as any individual who meets the definition of “immediate family” as set forth in Subsection 1. above. The determination of a Department Head that a medical or dental appointment was routine rather than emergency shall not be grievable.
