Common use of Safety at the Work Site Clause in Contracts

Safety at the Work Site. Contractor shall be solely and completely responsible for providing and maintaining safe conditions at the Work Site, including the safety of all persons and property during performance of the Work. This requirement shall apply continuously and shall not be limited to normal working hours. Contractor shall take all safety precautions as shall be necessary to comply with all applicable laws and to prevent injury to persons and damage to property. Contractor shall conduct all of its operations without interruption or interference with vehicular and pedestrian traffic on public and private rights-of-way, unless it has obtained permits therefor from the proper authorities. If any public or private right-of-way shall be rendered unsafe by Contractor’s operations, Contractor shall make such repairs or provide such temporary ways or guards as shall be acceptable to the proper authorities.
