Salary Placement and Benefits Upon Recall From Layoff. All benefits to which an employee was entitled at the time of the layoff, including unused sick leave, will be restored to the employee upon return to active employment, unless accumulated vacation leave balances were cashed-out at the time of layoff. The employee will be placed on the appropriate range of the salary schedule, on the step that is closest to, but not less than, the hourly rate of pay at the time of layoff; PROVIDED that no employee shall be placed above the top step of the appropriate range. Seniority will be restored to the accumulation at the time of layoff.
