Common use of Satisfaction of Obligation Clause in Contracts

Satisfaction of Obligation. Effective January 1, 2013 employees who, under 13.1, are required to pay dues or an agency fee to the Union may satisfy that obligation by monthly tendering to the Union an amount equal to the Union’s regular and usual monthly dues. Employees who demonstrate sincere religious objection to the payment of such dues or an agency fee may satisfy their obligations under 13.1 by paying sums equal to the Union’s regular and monthly dues to one of the tax-exempt nonreligious, nonlabor charitable organizations identified within a list of mutually agreed upon entities that will be made available to SPEEA employees.
