Scheduling Work on a Holiday. The University agrees to attempt to offer each employee the opportunity to work four (4) holidays each year. The service officer, the Assigned Investigator and the Community Policing officer will not typically be assigned to work on holidays. The Department reserves the right to assign holiday work to employees assigned to these positions based on operational needs as determined by the Department The Department reserves the right, consistent with minimum shift requirements (see Article 46-2), to force all but one officer off of assigned schedules on any legal holiday as defined in 29-1, above.
