Common use of Scope and Application Clause in Contracts

Scope and Application. 1.1 The parties to this Agreement will apply the conditions contained in this Appendix on sites where the Victorian Building Industry Agreement (VBIA) or its successor applies or should apply. 1.2 This Appendix will apply throughout the State of Victoria to all on-site work on building and construction projects (as defined) covered by the National Building and Construction Industry Award 1990. 1.3 Engineering Construction Projects and the Cottage / Housing Industry shall be excluded. 1.4 Where Sub-Contractors are to be engaged by a party to this Agreement, it will be the responsibility of that party to ensure that the Sub-Contractors take all reasonable steps to abide by this Agreement and have a current Enterprise Agreement with the Union in place.
