Section 3 – Compliance with Laws. ‌ 17 The provisions of this contract shall comply with the constitutions, laws and 18 regulations of the United States and the State of Oregon as they now exist or 19 may be hereafter amended or interpreted. Neither party shall be required to 20 comply with or carry out any provision of this contract which is contrary to 21 any such constitution, law or regulation which is applicable thereto; and any 22 such failure to perform or comply shall not be a breach of this contract or an 23 unfair labor practice. In the event that any provision of this contract shall 24 become unlawful or noncomplying with any applicable law or regulation or 25 with a decision of a court having jurisdiction, or if such law or regulation shall 26 prevent compliance with such provision or prevent effective operation of the 27 Hospital, then the parties shall be obligated to bargain in good faith to 28 eliminate, change or amend such provision so that it will be compatible with 29 such law, regulation or decision.
