Selection of Members of Standing Committees. The membership of each standing committee shall be selected as follows. The representatives of the bargaining unit shall be selected under the auspices of the Association from among the members of the bargaining unit who are employed at the University. Beginning September 1, 2018 unit members shall serve two-year terms that begin on September 1 following said selection, except that for academic year 2018-2019 one half (1/2) of the bargaining unit members shall be selected for one-year terms. This is necessary to initiate a fifty percent (50%) staggering of the unit member terms. Representatives chosen from among the members of the bargaining unit shall be eligible to succeed themselves as representatives to any standing committee. Except as is otherwise provided in this Agreement, all members of the bargaining unit as set forth in Article I, Section A, of this Agreement shall be eligible to serve as representatives to any standing committee. Within thirty (30) days after the date on which the students shall have ratified this Article in accordance with the provisions of Sections G and H hereof, the student representatives shall be selected under the auspices of the Executive Committee of the Student Government Association at the University; provided, however, that only students who will be full-time juniors or seniors during their service in office shall be eligible to be selected to serve as such representatives; and provided further that at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, one (1) of such representatives shall be selected under the auspices of the cadet officers of the Regiment of Cadets. The representatives first so selected shall serve until their successors are chosen pursuant to the foregoing provisions between April 15 and May 31 of each year. The administrative representatives to the committee shall be appointed by the President of the University and shall serve at his/her discretion.

  • Standing Committees A. The parties agree to participate in collaborative committee work structured as follows to improve workplace conditions, including but not limited to insurance, supplemental salary options (Article 7.2), professional development (LPDC) (Article 6.11(F)), Master Teacher, Association/ Administration Council, evaluation (OTES), career lattice, calendar (Article 8.1) and any and all other contractual issues.

  • Interest of Members of Congress No member of or delegate to the Congress of the United States will be admitted to any share or part of this contract or to any benefit arising therefrom.

  • Consolidation of Committees The parties to this Agreement and to the Agreement concerning drug and alcohol testing and EAP between TWU Local 250A and the SFMTA may elect to combine the joint labor- management committee established here and in the Local 250A Agreement.

  • POWERS OF MEMBERS The Members shall have the power to exercise any and all rights or powers granted to the Members pursuant to the express terms of this Agreement. Except as expressly provided herein, the Members shall have no power to bind the Company and no authority to act on behalf of the Company.

  • Sub-Committees 15.1 The Joint Committee shall establish the membership and terms of reference for any sub-committees or sub-groups which it establishes and may dissolve such sub-committees or sub-groups. Sub-committees to which the Joint Committee delegates functions are bound by the provisions of this Agreement regulating the taking of decisions by the Joint Committee. The Joint Committee may create additional sub-committees from time to time as it sees fit.

  • Function of Committee The Committee shall concern itself with the following general matters:

  • Interest of Members of a City No member of the governing body of the City and no other officer, employee, or agent of the City who exercises any functions or responsibilities in connection with the planning and carrying out of the program, shall have any personal financial interest, direct or indirect, in this Contract, and the Contractor shall take appropriate steps to assure compliance.

  • Selection of Mediator A single mediator that is acceptable to both parties shall be used to mediate the dispute. The mediator will be knowledgeable in the subject matter of this Contract, if possible.

  • Committees 1. The Parties agree on establishing Committees in the following matters: (a) Trade in Goods; (b) Trade in Services; (c) Investment; (d) Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures; (e) Technical Barriers to Trade; (f) Trade Facilitation; (g) Rules of Origin; and (h) Cooperation, including Intellectual Property. 2. The Free Trade Commission may create additional Committees, if needed. The Committees on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, Technical Barriers to Trade and Rules of Origin shall coordinate their tasks with those of the Committee on Trade in Goods. 3. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, the Committees shall convene in regular session once a year at the same time the Free Trade Commission convenes. When special circumstances arise, the Parties shall meet at any time upon agreement at the request of one Party. Regular sessions of the Committees shall be chaired successively by each Party. Other sessions of the Committee shall be chaired by the Party hosting the meeting. The sessions may be held by any technological means available to the Parties. 4. When necessary, the Committees created hereby shall consult with such other Committees as needed to address the issues they handle.
