Service Recognition Classified Staff. A service recognition payment shall be made to any classified employee retiring from School District 121 who makes application for retirement benefits from the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund. Such payment shall be determined by multiplying the unused accumulated sick leave days of the classified employee in excess of those days attributable toward retirement credit by twenty- five dollars ($25). This payment shall be made in the month following the month of the employee’s last day of work in the District after retirement so as not to be considered credible earnings.
