Sheriff's Merit System Act. ‌ The rights secured to Employees and the Employer under this Agreement shall not be construed to negate or diminish either Party’s rights under the Sheriffs Merit System Laws (55 ILCS 5/3-8001), except as specifically modified by the terms and conditions of this Agreement more specifically at Section 8.5 herein.
