Shift Differential Premium. An employee who is assigned to work and actually works an evening or night shift is entitled to receive shift differential defined below. All employees entitled to receive shift premium pay as of the first pay period following the execution of this Memorandum shall be paid as follows:
a) Shift differential shall be paid only for hours worked on the defined shift. An employee whose shift starts at 7:00 a.m. or later and ends by 7:00 p.m. shall not be eligible for shift differential pay.
b) An employee must actually work 50% or more of his or her shift hours between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to receive the evening shift differential premium specified in subsection 13.2(c). An employee must actually work more than 50% of his or her shift hours between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to receive the night shift premium specified in subsection 13.2(d);
c) An additional 5% above the employee’s base hourly rate for each hour actually worked on an evening shift. Effective the first full pay period following Board of Supervisors’ approval of this successor MOU, the evening shift differential shall be increased from five percent (5%) to seven percent (7%) above the employee’s base hourly rate for each hour actually worked on an evening shift.
d) An additional 10% above the employee’s base hourly rate for each hour actually worked on a night shift, or for Behavioral Health Clinician job classes, an additional 17% above the base hourly rate for each hour actually worked on a night shift.
Shift Differential Premium. 8.6.1 Effective July 1, 2012, in addition to the employee’s regular wage, a shift differential premium of 2.5% shall be paid to any employee who is regularly assigned to begin work during the swing shift.
8.6.2 In addition to the employee's regular wage, a shift differential premium of 7.5% shall be paid to any employee whose shift is regularly assigned beyond midnight.
8.6.3 Employees eligible for this premium for a period of at least one week before and one week after school recess, other than the summer recess, shall receive that premium for each such recess.
8.6.4 The shift differential premium shall be allowed for vacation leaves if the employee has been eligible for said premium for at least 75% of assigned time during the preceding six (6) months, excluding summer recess.
8.6.5 The shift differential premium will not be allowed for the period of the summer recess.
Shift Differential Premium. A shift differential premium of thirty-five cents ($0.35) per hour shall be paid for any hours worked on the evening shift between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Shift Differential Premium. Employees shall be paid one (1) dollar 7 ($1.00) for each hour (including overtime hours) worked on the 7:00 p.m. to 7:00
Shift Differential Premium. For hours worked on the afternoon shift,' there shall be a premium rate of cents per hour. For hours worked on the night shift there shall be a premium rate of cents per hour. For purposes of applying the aforesaid shift differential the following shall apply:
Shift Differential Premium. Employees shall be paid one (1) dollar ($1.00) 22 for each hour worked (including overtime hours) on the 7:00 p.m., to 7:00 a.m., shift as 23 additional compensation. 24 Section 3. Special Assignments. Employees working special assignments, excluding 25 assignments to the Detective bureau, will receive an add-on rate of $0.54 per hour.
Shift Differential Premium. When one-half or more of a full-time (8 hours per
Shift Differential Premium. A shift differential premium of dollars and thirty-five cents ($2.35) per hour shall be paid to a Nurse for each hour worked between 1900 hours and 0700 hours. This premium shall increase to three dollars and fifty cents ($3.50) per hour effective December 21, 2023 and shall increase to four dollars ($4.00) per hour effective April 1, 2025. The shift differential premium shall be paid in addition to the weekend premium.
Shift Differential Premium.
16.1 Eligible Employees in CO/PO Units a Evening or Night Shift employees shall be eligible for a shift differential when assigned to an evening or night shift that begins at or after 2:00 p.m. and prior to 5:00 a.m.
Shift Differential Premium. (a) For hours worked on the afternoon shift, there shall be a premium rate of thirty (30) cents per hour. For hours worked on the night shift there shall be a premium rate of thirty-five (35) cents per hour.
(b) For the purposes of applying the aforesaid shift differential the following shall apply:
1) if half or more of the hours worked continuously fall between 12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m., the night shift differential shall be paid.
2) if half or more of the hours worked continuously fall between 4:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight, the afternoon shift differential shall be paid.
3) if more than half of the hours worked continuously fall between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., no shift differential shall be paid.
