Shop Stewards/Local Union Officers. A. The Board recognizes the Union's right to select stewards/local union officers to represent employees. The Union agrees to provide the Board with a list of the employees designated as stewards/local union officers. B. The Board agrees that such representatives shall not be hindered, coerced, restrained or interfered with in any way in the performance of their duties, while investigating disputes and presenting adjustments as provided in this article. Permission to leave work during working hours for such purposes shall first be obtained from the Human Resources Department and, second the xxxxxxx/local union officer shall advise their immediate supervisor. C. Where a supervisor intends to interview an employee for disciplinary purposes or to discuss an adverse report, the supervisor shall so notify the employee in advance of the purpose of the interview in order that the employee may contact their Xxxxxxx to be present at theinterview. D. A Xxxxxxx or local union officer shall have the right to consult with a CUPE Staff Representative and to have them present at any discussion with supervisory personnel which might be the basis of disciplinary action.
