Short-Term Illness and Injury Plan Benefit. (a) In the event an employee is unable to work because of illness or injury they will be entitled to a benefit paid by the Employer, commencing on the second consecutive day of illness or the first day of absence due to an accident or hospitalization, of seventy-five percent (75%) of pay for a period not to exceed six (6) months from date of absence (STIIP period).
