Sick Leave Usage for Family Bonding Time. Employees are permitted to use up to 132 hours of sick leave for bonding time after the birth or adoption of a child, in accordance with Federal or State laws, provided that the employee maintains a minimum sick leave balance of 44 sick leave hours after the use of the sick leave for bonding time. An employee who is eligible for and claims State Disability Insurance for baby bonding will not be permitted to use any accrued sick leave for bonding time after the birth or adoption of a child. // // // //
