Common use of Sink Clause in Contracts

Sink. (a) Splash backs shall be tiled to a minimum of 300mm (two tiles high). (b) Sinks and worktops shall be sealed around edges with silicone sealant. (c) Kitchen sink units, water and gas service pipes should be cross- bonded and earthed to current electrical regulations. (d) All waste pipes and traps shall be free of defects with no leaks or drips. (e) Any holes around waste pipes and traps shall be sealed so as to prevent the ingress of vermin. (f) Taps shall be in good condition (i.e. no dripping) and easy to operate by children or people with finger mobility problems.
