Special Area Substitute Teachers. A reasonable effort shall be made to provide substitutes as needed for all classroom and special area teachers. The substitute calling system, as defined by the Office of Human Resources, will continue to try to secure a substitute teacher until all resources have been exhausted. This shall be considered a reasonable effort. Substitute lists shall note a substitute's area of specialization and reasonable effort will be made to match substitutes with their area of specialization. A teacher may request of the principal that a specific substitute be sought.

  • Long-Term Substitute Teachers Long-term substitute teachers who teach continuously for more than thirty (30) days on the same assignment (replacing one individual teacher) shall be paid according to their appropriate lane and step on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule. The maximum experience credit shall be based on the guidelines set forth in Article VIII, Section 1, Subd. 1. This provision is not retroactive.

  • Substitute Teachers In lieu of salary under the Basic Salary Schedule, the District shall pay to teachers employed on the basis of the teacher being available for service if and when called upon by the District, and known as Substitute Teachers, an allowance of $217.04 per day of teaching effective September 1, 2011.   • Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time. The principal of each building in which the Educator serves must review and sign the evaluation, and may add written comments. In cases where there is no predominate assignment, the superintendent will determine who the primary evaluator will be.
