Special Bereavement Leave. In the event of the death of a student, at least one faculty member shall be permitted to attend the funeral without loss of leave time or compensation. In the event of death of a faculty member, close friends shall be permitted to attend the funeral without loss of leave time or compensation. Furthermore, in the event of death of a faculty member, members of the same department and/or grade level within the building shall be permitted to attend the funeral without loss of leave time or compensation.
