Special Paid Leave. The parties agree that commensurate with the Health Services commitment to Teaching, Training and Research and the practice of medicine that Special Paid Leave may be granted to Specialists by the Executive Director, Medical Services for the purpose of advancing medicine eg: supervision of examinations and other College based activities. This provision is however strictly based on the following conditions: (a) that the Specialists Health Service commitments can be met, (b) that other than for identifiable and exceptional circumstances at least four weeks notice is given in accordance with the Health Service leave delegation policy prior to the period of special leave, and (c) that the period of special leave is agreed prior to the leave being taken.

(b) , * that other than for identifiable and exceptional circumstances at least four weeks notice is given in accordance with the Health Service Services leave delegation policy prior to the period of special leave, and
(c) and * that the period of special leave is agreed prior to the leave being taken.
