State Mandates. Mandate Block Grant is unrestricted funding provided to districts that elect to receive a block grant in lieu of filing claims seeking reimbursement for mandated activities for a specific fiscal year. If the State budget includes mandate block grant funding during the contract year and the District elects to receive the block grant in lieu of filing a claim, eighty percent (80%) of that amount will be allocated to the compensation calculation to be distributed to the SEIU unit based upon its proportionate share.
